ShortcutSMS allows you to text/SMS message for free using your email account to US phone carriers.

The application is very easy to use:

1. Enter a 10 digit telephone number or use the + button to pick from your contacts.

2. Type in your message by tapping in the message field. While typing you can use your shortcuts on the right side of the screen by pressing the + button by them. When done typing press the "Done with keyboard" button.

3. Choose the carrier/phone company (AT&T, Tmobile, etc) that the person you are texting has their services through by pressing the + button by Carrier.

4. Now press the "Send Message" button at the bottom of the screen.

You will get responses to your text back through your default email account on your iPhone.

If manually typing in the phone number you need to take out the parenthesis and dashes and any leading 1s before the area code.

Example:

(222)555-1212 or 1(222)555-1212

In the phone number field you would type:

2225551212.
