The LogYourRun iPhone App uses the built-in GPS of the iPhone as well as the built-in accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch to measure the distance of your exercise activities. By working both as a pedometer and a GPS device you do not have to wait to get good satellite reception to start your run - the pedometer will measure your distance when the GPS signal is poor.
* Full Support for Background Operation on iOS4 *
The LogYourRun application will run in the background on iOS4 devices that support background operation (iPhone 4 and 3GS). This increases the battery life significantly when compared to leaving the app on the screen. On the iPhone 4 50% battery still remained after a 6 hour, 100 mile bike ride!
* Maps, Routes and Elevation *
In addition to measuring your distance you will be able to upload your route and see nearby routes and show off your routes. See local routes by closest routes or by latest routes so you can see what people are running at this time of the year. Over 100,000 routes have been logged at LogYourRun from all over the world. You can also see the elevation of the routes right on your iPhone - elevation data is downloaded and requires internet connection.
* LogYourRun Website Integration *
The LogYourRun App allows you to easily upload your exercise data to LogYourRun.com. In addition – the application can store your username and password – and has a built-in LogYourRun mobile site browser - so you will not have to login to the mobile site.
The App also keeps track of your distance and time for each unit of distance traveled. This will be uploaded to LogYourRun and can be reviewed graphically both on the mobile site and the full website.
* Social Network Integration *
Share your activities on Facebook and Twitter. The LogYourRun application can upload your activity to both Facebook and Twitter with the click of a button. In addition, the LogYourRun app features Tweet My Distance - use this to automatically update your twitter account with your distance and pace as you are running. Sign into your free LogYourRun account and select from one of our hundreds of free training programs. With the LogYourRun App you can take your training program with you so you can easily see what your upcoming activities are.
* Heart Rate & Foot Pod *
By using the Wahoo Fitness fisica connector you can now communicate with your ANT+ enabled heart rate strap and foot pod. Your heart rate will be graphed along with your speed and if you setup your heart rate zones your time in zone will be calculated. Setup playlists, play/pause and skip to the next or previous song without exiting the app.

NOTE TO OLDER iOS USERS: In order for the LogYourRun application to accurately measure the time and distance of your run on iPhones not capable of multitasking you must leave the application on the screen – if you close the application or lock your device the application will no-longer measure your distance.
NOTE TO iOS4 USERS: The LogYourRun application uses background location. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Also, The LogYourHike application has the same features as the LogYourRun application so if you already own the LogYourRun application you have no reason to also purchase this application.
